Ephesians 6

Our speaker during Family Bible Hour was Mr Charlie Fizer.  As Believers, we must remember that the devil is a defeated enemy as written in Hebrews 2: 14 --
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil...
Mr Fizer's message was based on  Ephesians 6, our Biblical war manual --- how we ought to live, and how we ought to fight:
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand...
His excellent message, in context, is available through DVD.

Our Speaker during Family Bible Hour was Mr Charlie Fizer from Iowa. He is shown in the pictures with his wife, Darlene. His message was an attempt to answer the following: 1. Why are there natural disasters? 2. Does God have anything to do with natural disasters? 3. Are natural disasters judgements from God? 4. Are the people who live in areas of the world that suffer these disasters worse sinners than those who live elsewhere? Matthew 24: 1-8 was used to answer the questions, alongwith other Bible passages: ... And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

A DVD of the excellent message, in full and in context, is available.

We are always pleased to have visitors in our midst. Don and Pat Bollman are old friends who now live in Arkansas. They were here to visit their daughter, Julie; and to attend a Baby Shower party for Julie hosted by the Miller Family. Come back soon, Don and Pat. We've missed you!
